A seasoned executive and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of business development experience, Tariq has proven ability to foster business vision, develop and lead strategic initiatives, act as an agent for change, and provide leadership to rally executive teams to deliver desired outcomes. He has demonstrated success in developing strategic alliances, sourcing capital, creating joint ventures, and integrating acquisitions.

Tariq has proven experience in corporate development, global sourcing, and technology transfer. He has a strong background in working with small to mid sized companies to develop and effectively execute growth strategies. His portfolio of companies specialized in the development of operating models leveraging state of the art technologies to deliver more efficient global and national sales and distribution channels:

• Leading national software developer – redesigning its reseller network model and establishing key channel partners, leading to triple digit growth and a successful IPO
• Prominent online research and knowledge management company – providing customized solutions to market research and analytics clients
• Multinational manufacturer – diversifying and web-enabling their collaboration with and access to channel partners; increased the number of channel partners by 100% leading to a sustainable, multi-year double digit revenue growth
• National retailer - reengineering its private label ordering, production, and distribution model and cutting delivery time from 2-3 weeks down to 1 week

Tariq serves as Chief Executive Officer of Pivotal Strategies. He is also Managing Partner of StrateSphere, providing management consulting and global sourcing services for small to mid sized businesses. He previously founded InterSource LLC, providing IT and business process offshore outsourcing for US-based companies, and Venture Assets LLC, providing investment capital and strategic guidance for technology companies. Tariq is a guest lecturer for the Fisher Executive MBA program at The Ohio State University and has served on a number of local and national venture capital committees and task forces.
