A high-energy,
creative talent, Mike throws off sparks as he works. He
excels at defining and
designing new products, creating brand imaging, developing
TV and print campaigns,
creating in-store and direct marketing programs and materials,
and developing promotional
ideas. He has created numerous award-winning advertising
and marketing campaigns and
holds several new product design patents.
For
the past 25 years, Mike has led teams in the creation of
marketing and advertising for a number of high-profile products
and images, including:
- Creation of Joe Camel, which took RJR’s Camel cigarettes
from no share competitor to major player
- Launch of New Coke
- Television campaign introduction of Nintendo’s Game
Boy to the U.S. Marketplace
- The highly recognized Lady Speed Stick print campaign
- Creation and launch of Art Stuff by Bath & Body Works
– a phenomenally successful collection of personal care
products for girls ages 8 to 12
- An award-winning TV commercial for Burger Chef, named “Best
TV Spot of the Decade” by Advertising Age
- An award-winning campaign for Sony’s Handicam
- Creative concepts for DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse), Scotts
Company, Unilever, Yankee Candle, and Abercrombie & Fitch
Mike is
Founder and President of Brainchild, a creative firm offering
innovative marketing and advertising services. Previously
he was a Principal in HK Insights LLC, a creative services,
product development, and sourcing services company supporting
clients through rapid development of innovative products and
supply chain initiatives. Mike was also Marketing Vice President
for Victoria’s Secret Beauty and Bath & Body Works.
As Senior VP Creative Director at McCann Erickson, Worldwide,
Mike created advertising for market leaders including Coca
Cola, Sony, Nabisco, L’Oreal, Proctor & Gamble,
McDonald’s, Nintendo, Black & Decker, and Smirnoff.
