Terry
has more than 25 years of HR experience in retail and consumer
products industries
and his achievements include:
- Creating an HR department from start-up, including designing
HR policies and related procedures, providing management training,
and building corporate culture
- Implementing HR programs supporting 250% store growth,
and 200% revenue increases
- Originating talent assessment and succession planning for
stores, corporate office, and distribution center environments
- Establishing corporate and in-store management development
programs, compensation and incentive plans, and performance
management programs
- Developing store operations training modules to elevate
hourly store talent and improve store results
- Implementing a store reorganization plan producing a $15
million or 12% labor cost savings
- Analyzing, designing, and negotiating benefits plans to
reduce corporate costs
Terry
served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Value
City Department Stores and as SVP of HR for DSW (Designer
Shoe Warehouse). Previously he was Vice President of HR for
Southwest Coca-Cola, Regional Director of HR for Revco Drug,
and Division HR Director for Coca-Cola Consolidated. Terry
holds certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources
(SPHR).
